Volume estimates for unions of convex sets, and the Kakeya set conjecture in three dimensions [PDF]
arXivWe study sets of $\delta$ tubes in $\mathbb{R}^3$, with the property that not too many tubes can be contained inside a common convex set $V$. We show that the union of tubes from such a set must have almost maximal volume. As a consequence, we prove that every Kakeya set in $\mathbb{R}^3$ has Minkowski and Hausdorff dimension 3.

Molecular Oncology, EarlyView.Overexpression of CHRDL2 in colon cancer cells makes them more stem‐like and resistant to chemo‐ and radiotherapy. CHRDL2‐high cells have upregulation of the WNT pathway, genes involved in the DNA damage response (DDR) pathway and epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition (EMT). This leads to quicker repair of damaged DNA and more cell migration.

Semi-Riemannian hypersurfaces in $\mathbb{L}^{n+1}$ with a totally geodesic foliation of codimension one [PDF]
arXiv, 2018 We classify hypersurfaces of the Minkowski space $\L^{n+1}$ that carry a totally geodesic foliation with complete leaves of codimension one. We prove that such a hypersurface is ruled, or a partial tube over a curve or contains a two or three dimensional strip. Moreover, if the hypersurface is embedded then it is a partial tube over a curve.

Aluminum Tape Evaluation for Sealable Aluminum Tubes Containing Mark 22 Fuel Tubes [PDF]
, 2003 As part of the HEU Blend Down project, aluminum tape is required to seal aluminum tubes that will hold contaminated Mark 22 fuel tubes for dissolution. From a large field of candidate tapes, Avery Dennison's Fasson 0802 tape (synthetic rubber adhesive system) was found to be acceptable for this application.
