Effect of conical coiled heat transfer fluid tube on charging of phase-change material in a vertical shell and coil type cylindrical thermal energy storage

Energy Sources, Part A: Recovery, Utilization, and Environmental Effects, 2020
Effective thermal energy storage is essential to overcome the intermittent availability of solar energy. A small cylindrical thermal energy storage unit is investigated to provide heat during the early morning for domestic hot water using flat plate ...

Recurrent Groin Hernia Containing the Ovary and Fallopian Tube

The American Surgeon™, 2023
A 46-year-old female presented to the emergency room with complaints of right groin pain. A palpable mass was found inferior to the right inguinal ligament. Computed tomography showed evidence of a viscera-containing hernia sac within the femoral canal.

Gel electrofocusing in tubes containing Sephadex

ELECTROPHORESIS, 1984
AbstractGel electrofocusing (EF) on Sephadex G‐75, which provides relatively non‐restrictive pore sizes and relatively broad protein concentration distributions (which reduces concentration‐dependent aggregation), was adapted for use in glass tubes. This allows for EF with meticulously controlled low temperatures in conjunction with large sample and ...

Changing Intravenous Tubing Containing Burettes

JAMA: The Journal of the American Medical Association, 1985
To the Editor.— While the efforts of Gorbea and colleagues 1 to define safe infection control practice is laudable, I found their application of statistical methods faulty. Their study 1 examined the safety of changing intravenous (IV) tubing containing burettes at 48 hours instead of the usual 24 hours.

Effect of position of heat transfer fluid tube on the melting of phase change material in cylindrical thermal energy storage

Energy Sources, Part A: Recovery, Utilization, and Environmental Effects, 2019
The influence of the orientation of heat transfer fluid tube inside the horizontal cylindrical phase change material based thermal storage is experimentally investigated.

Plasmonic photothermal heating of gold nanostars in a real-size container: multiscale modelling and experimental study

Nanotechnology, 2019
The ability of noble metal nanoparticles (NPs) to convert light into heat has triggered a lot of scientific interest due to the numerous potential applications, including, e.g. photothermal therapy or laser-based nanopatterning.

Cotton embryogenesis: the tube-containing endoplasmic reticulum

Journal of Ultrastructure Research, 1968
The egg, zygote, and young embryo of cotton possess a tube-containing ER. The tubes are 290–310 A in diameter, microns in length, crooked, and branched. They are preserved with either GaOs or KMnO 4 . The ER within which they occur has attached ribosomes.

Closed Crystalline Tubes as a Container System

Chemical Engineering & Technology, 2010
AbstractHollow crystalline glucose anhydrate needles are produced based on a technique to produce hollow crystal needles by phase transformation of solvate crystals into non‐solvates. The fascinating characteristic of the glucose anhydrate needles is the possibility of closing them by a simple drying process.

Changing Intravenous Tubing Containing Burettes-Reply

JAMA: The Journal of the American Medical Association, 1985
In Reply.— The statement by Ms Josephson that the 24-hour specimen results in the 48-hour group do not contribute to the determination of safety at 48 hours is incorrect. We were unwilling to make that assumption. In fact, some burettes in the 48-hour group were contaminated at 24 hours but not at 48 hours.
