Mixed‐Metal Promotion in a Manganese‐Molybdenum Oxynitride as Catalyst to Integrate C─C and C─N Coupling Reactions for the Direct Synthesis of Acetonitrile from Syngas and Ammonia

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Transition metal oxy/carbo‐nitrides show great promise as catalysts for sustainable processes. A Mn‐Mo mixed‐metal oxynitride attains remarkable performance for the direct synthesis of acetonitrile, an important commodity chemical, via sequential C─N and C─C coupling from syngas (C1) and ammonia (N1) feedstocks.

Approach Based on Response-Surface Method to Optimize Lining of Dies Used in 3D Free-Bending Forming Technology

open access: yesChinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering
In three-dimensional free-bending forming (3D-FBF), the tube is not overly constrained, and the plastic deformation behavior and forming quality of the bent tube are significantly affected by the critical structure of the forming die lining. However, the

Water Permeates and Plasticizes Amorphous Carbon Dots: Unraveling the Inner Accessibility of the Nanoparticles by Glass Transition Studies

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
The water permeability of amorphous carbon dots (CDs) is demonstrated by investigating their plasticization. Novel polyamide‐based and amorphous nanoparticles are synthesized by controlling their inner packing density. Water plasticization is evidenced by the decrease of the CDs glass transition temperature with increasing the hydration degree.

Functionally graded thick-walled tubes analysis by numerical methods

open access: yesHeliyon
Functionally graded materials are increasingly used in the practice of engineering design, as is the case with thick-walled tubes. The use of these constructive elements requires a calculation, which should be as accurate, as accessible and as fast as possible. The present work responds to these requirements.
