Case 1 was a 79-year-old male suspected of tuberculous constrictive pericarditis. He was admitted to our hospital because of surgical treatment. His heart failure was NYHA IV. Culture of pleural effusion and pericardial effusion was negative. But ADA level in pericardial effusion was found to be increased. So tuberculosis was suspected.
