The effects of operational conditions on the respiration rate of Tubificidae. [PDF]

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2013
Tubificidae is often used in the wastewater treatment systems to minimize the sludge production because it can be fed on the activated sludge. The process conditions have effect on the growth, reproduction, and sludge reduction efficiency of Tubificidae.

Increasing fish production in recirculating aquaculture system by integrating a biofloc-worm reactor for protein recovery [PDF]

open access: yesWater Research X
Aquaculture, producing half of global fish production, offers a high-quality protein source for humans. Improving nitrogen use efficiency (NUE) through microbial protein recovery is crucial for increasing fish production and reducing environmental ...

Marine Tubificidae (Oligochaeta) from a mangrove habitat in Kenya [PDF]

open access: yesTropical Zoology, 1999
Two species of Tubificidae (both subfamily Rhyacodrilinae) are described from a hypersaline, high intertidal mangrove site at Gazi Bay in southern Kenya indicating that mangrove sediments of tropical East Africa contain marine Tubificidae, as do similar habitats studied on other continents. One species is identified as Ainudrilus mediocris Erseus 1997,

Assessment of aquatic ecosystem health in Gorgan Bay based on biotic indices [PDF]

open access: yesCaspian Journal of Environmental Sciences, 2023
The relationship between spatial patterns of macrobenthic community characteristics and environmental conditions (dissolved oxygen, temperature, salinity, organic matter content and sediment particle size) was studied at 12 stations in Gorgan Bay (South ...
