Dispersion of tubules made of diacetylenic phospholipids (DC 8,9 PC), in aqueous colloidal dispersions of magnetic nanoparticles is studied as a function of the sign of particles surface charges. In every case the tubule-vesicle transition temperature is decreased by the presence of the magnetic nanoparticles. Electrophoresis experiments on the tubules

The Structure of a COPII Tubule [PDF]
Nearly a third of all eukaryotic proteins are transported from the ER to the Golgi apparatus through the secretory pathway using COPII coated vesicles. Evidence suggests that this transport occurs via 500-900 Å vesicles that bud from the ER membrane.

Uterine leiomyoma with tubules [PDF]
We report two cases of "uterine leiomyoma with tubules" as a new pathological entity. Since these are biphasic neoplasms (composed by epithelial and mesenchimal elements), the differential diagnosis is between mixed mullerian tumors and uterine tumors resembling ovarian sex cord tumors (UTROSCTs).

Distal Convoluted Tubule [PDF]
The distal convoluted tubule is the nephron segment that lies immediately downstream of the macula densa. Although short in length, the distal convoluted tubule plays a critical role in sodium, potassium, and divalent cation homeostasis. Recent genetic and physiologic studies have greatly expanded our understanding of how the distal convoluted tubule ...

Pattern Formation of an Epithelial Tubule by Mechanical Instability during Epididymal Development
A single epithelial tubule undergoes morphogenesis to form a functional shape during the development of internal organs; however, the mechanical processes that are directed by the molecular signals regulating tubular morphogenesis are poorly understood ...

Generation of proximal tubule spheroids for nephrotoxicity assessment [PDF]
Background To date, nephrotoxicity in new drug development has been evaluated through two-dimensional culture of representative cell lines, such as HK-2 and human proximal tubule epithelial cells (hPTECs). Approximately 20% of new drugs that were safe in

Exosomal GAPDH from Proximal Tubule Cells Regulate ENaC Activity. [PDF]
Exosomes are nanometer-scale, cell-derived vesicles that contain various molecules including nucleic acids, proteins, and lipids. These vesicles can release their cargo into adjacent or distant cells and mediate intercellular communication and cellular ...

A novel quantitative measurement method for irregular tubules in breast carcinoma
Tubule detection is very crucial and is one of the important criterions for tubule formation assessment in breast carcinoma. The output of tubule formation is essential to determine the grade of breast carcinoma based on the Nottingham Histological ...
