Hyperspectral Image Denoising via
This article studies the mixed noise removal problem for hyperspectral images (HSIs), which often suffer from Gaussian noise and sparse noise. Conventional denoising models mainly employ the $L_{1}$-norm-based regularizers to remove sparse noise and ...

Prediction‐Guided Two‐Step Solid‐State Exploration of Unknown Pseudo‐Ternary Oxides
Prediction‐guided selection combined with two‐step solid‐state exploration enables efficient search of unknown pseudo‐ternary oxides. Broad robotic slurry screening followed by manual single‐phase isolation leads to the discovery of a new oxide, Ba5SnV6O22, showing how data‐guided experiments connect unexplored composition regions to new materials ...

ABSTRACT The rapid advancement of large language model (LLM) technology is profoundly transforming the practice of social science research. Scholarly discussions on Artificial Intelligence (AI)'s role in social science research can be organised into three levels: AI as a research tool, AI as a methodological infrastructure and AI as a quasi‐cognitive ...

Abstract This paper derives a firm‐level threshold, the Herfindahl Neutral Point, from the standard concentration index used in merger review. At this threshold, a marginal expansion leaves the index unchanged. Firms below the threshold reduce concentration when they expand; firms above it increase concentration.

Porcine kidney xenotransplantation: From primate models to clinical reality
In the face of a critical shortage of human donor kidneys for end‐stage renal disease patients, porcine kidney xenotransplantation has emerged as a viable solution. This field has navigated major hurdles, including immune rejection, physiological incompatibilities, potential biomechanical differences and the risk of cross‐species infection. To overcome
