Essential Oil Profiles of Lippia turbinata (Verbenaceae) from Argentina: Insights from a Systematic Review and Meta‐Analysis

open access: yesChemistryOpen, Volume 14, Issue 11, November 2025.
This study systematically reviews essential oil (EO) profiles of Lippia turbinata (Verbenaceae) populations from Argentina. A meta‐analysis reveals significant chemical variability and distinct chemotypes, primarily defined by limonene, carvone, β‐caryophyllene, and caryophyllene oxide.

Extracellular matrix remodeling and TGF-β1/Smad signaling in diabetic colon mucosa [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
Diabetes is associated with metabolic and functional alterations in the gut. Using an experimental model of streptozotocin (STZ)-induced diabetes in rodents, we analyzed the extracellular matrix (ECM) and TGF-β/Smad signaling in the colon mucosa.

Cosmic Ray Counting Variability From Water‐Cherenkov Detectors as a Proxy of Stratospheric Conditions in Antarctica

open access: yesEarth and Space Science, Volume 12, Issue 11, November 2025.
Abstract This work examines atmospheric effects on cosmic ray counts observed by a Water‐Cherenkov detector at the Argentine Antarctic Marambio Station. We analyze the influence of ground‐level barometric pressure and geopotential height at various pressure levels on daily particle rates, finding the strongest association at 100 hPa, linked to ...

Impact of Concomitant Methotrexate Use and Prior Biologic Disease‐Modifying Antirheumatic Drug Exposure on Tofacitinib Efficacy and Safety in Patients with Polyarticular Course Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis: Post Hoc Analysis of a Phase 3 Randomized Withdrawal Trial

open access: yesACR Open Rheumatology, Volume 7, Issue 10, October 2025.
Objective We evaluate tofacitinib efficacy and safety in patients with juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA) stratified by concomitant methotrexate and prior biologic disease‐modifying antirheumatic drug (bDMARD) treatment. Methods In this two part, double‐blind, randomized withdrawal Phase 3 trial (NCT02592434), patients (2–<18 years) with JIA received ...

When African and European Lineages Meet: The Genetic Landscape of Honey Bees in Argentina

open access: yesEcology and Evolution, Volume 15, Issue 10, October 2025.
Using a 272‐SNP panel, we explored how Africanized (AHB) and European (EHB) honeybee populations interact across Argentina's diverse landscapes. A clear latitudinal pattern in Africanization, with an interesting inverse relationship between African (A) and European (C) ancestry.
