The treatment of RCC is rapidly changing. The introduction of minimally invasive thermal ablation techniques offers a safe and accurate alternative to open surgery in the treatment of renal tumors. Because of its technical benefits, percutaneous radiofrequency ablation took the lead among these minimally invasive techniques.
