Tumor Immunology

2007
Advances in tumor immunology are supporting the clinical implementation of several immunological approaches to cancer in the clinical setting. However, the alternate success of current immunotherapeutic regimens underscores the fact that the molecular mechanisms underlying immune-mediated tumor rejection are still poorly understood.

Tumor-to-tumor metastasis

Anti-Cancer Drugs, 2013
Tumor-to-tumor metastasis is a rare phenomenon, with around 150 cases being reported in the literature. Breast cancer is the second most commonly reported donor tumor after lung cancer, but thymic epithelial tumors have never been reported as recipient tumors. Furthermore, the thymus is rarely affected by metastases.

Tumor-to-Tumor Metastasis: Extracranial Tumor Metastatic to Intracranial Tumors

2011
Tumor-to-tumor metastasis (TTM) is a relatively rare but well-documented phenomenon. When malignant tumor metastasizes to an intracranial tumor, meningiomas are most often the recipient; and breast or lung carcinoma the most common donor (primary tumor). The diagnosis of TTM can be made only by histopathological examination.

Intracranial Tumors

Intracranial tumors in dogs are relatively common but are less common in cats. Features of various tumors are described. Diagnosis and treatment options are discussed.

CHILDHOOD TUMORS

Surgical Clinics of North America, 2000
Pediatric solid tumors represent a distinct set of malignancies of embryonal origin whose incidence peaks in the first years of life. Specific genetic anomalies with pathogenic significance, which have helped to define the diagnosis better and to improve the prognosis of children with these tumors, recently have been discovered.
