Identification of Four Immune Subtypes Characterized by Distinct Composition and Functions of Tumor Microenvironment in Intrahepatic Cholangiocarcinoma

open access: yesHepatology, Volume 72, Issue 3, Page 965-981, September 2020., 2020
Background and Aims Intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma (ICC) is a severe malignant tumor in which the standard therapies are mostly ineffective. The biological significance of the desmoplastic tumor microenvironment (TME) of ICC has been stressed but was insufficiently taken into account in the search for classifications of ICC adapted to clinical trial ...

Antimetastatic and Anti‐Inflammatory Potentials of Essential Oil from Edible Ocimum sanctum Leaves

open access: yesThe Scientific World Journal, Volume 2014, Issue 1, 2014., 2014
Antimetastatic and anti‐inflammatory activities of Ocimum sanctum essential oil (OSEO) have been assessed in this study. OSEO at the concentration of 250 μg/mL and above showed a significant ( *P < 0.05) decrease in the number of migrated cancer cells.

Endocan in Cancers: A Lesson from a Circulating Dermatan Sulfate Proteoglycan

open access: yesInternational Journal of Cell Biology, Volume 2013, Issue 1, 2013., 2013
As most proteoglycans exert their biological activities in the pericellular region, circulating Endocan has appeared since its discovery as an atypical dermatan sulfate proteoglycan, with distinctive structural and functional properties. Endocan is naturally expressed by endothelial cells, highly regulated in presence of proinflammatory and ...

Metabolomic Characterization of Ovarian Epithelial Carcinomas by HRMAS‐NMR Spectroscopy

open access: yesJournal of Oncology, Volume 2011, Issue 1, 2011., 2011
Objectives. The objectives of the present study are to determine if a metabolomic study by HRMAS‐NMR can (i) discriminate between different histological types of epithelial ovarian carcinomas and healthy ovarian tissue, (ii) generate statistical models capable of classifying borderline tumors and (iii) establish a potential relationship with patient′s ...

A “Proteoglycan Targeting Strategy” for the Scintigraphic Imaging and Monitoring of the Swarm Rat Chondrosarcoma Orthotopic Model

open access: yesSarcoma, Volume 2011, Issue 1, 2011., 2011
Our lab developed 99mTc‐NTP 15‐5 radiotracer as targeting proteoglycans (PGs) for the scintigraphic imaging of joint. This paper reports preclinical results of 99mTc‐NTP 15‐5 imaging of an orthotopic model of Swarm rat chondrosarcoma (SRC). 99mTc‐NTP 15‐5 imaging of SRC‐bearing and sham‐operated animals was performed and quantified at regular intervals
