Switchable and tunable triple-channel bandpass filter

Chinese Physics B, 2022
A triple-channel bandpass filter with switchable and tunable functions is proposed, which is based on a triple-mode cross resonator. The varactors and switching diodes are loaded at the end of the resonator. Because of the use of switches, resonators have four working states: conventional single-mode, two dual-modes, and one triple-mode.

Microstrip Switchable and Fully Tunable Bandpass Filter With Continuous Frequency Tuning Range

IEEE Microwave and Wireless Components Letters, 2018
A compact switchable and fully tunable bandpass filter (BPF) with continuous frequency tuning range has been presented in this letter. Since the BPF is formed by two varactor-tuned switchable resonators, which can be switched to higher and lower resonant

Packaged Tunable Combline Bandpass Filters

IEEE Microwave Magazine, 2015
This article describes the design of a packaged tunable bandpass filter used for the Student Filter Design Competition held during the 2014 International Microwave Symposium (IMS2014) in Tampa, Florida. The focus of the 2014 competition was to demonstrate a tunable bandpass filter between two wide separated bands.

Tunable dielectric resonator bandpass filter

13th International Conference on Microwaves, Radar and Wireless Communications. MIKON - 2000. Conference Proceedings (IEEE Cat. No.00EX428), 2002
A simple but effective technique has been applied to magnetically tune the quasi-TE/sub 011/ mode dielectric resonator. The tuning was achieved by means of a ferrite rod situated centrally in the dielectric resonator and extending over the shield. The ferrite parameters were changed by DC magnetic field.

Wideband bandpass filter with tunable passband

2015 Asia-Pacific Microwave Conference (APMC), 2015
In this paper, a tunable wideband bandpass filter based on stub-loaded stepped-impedance ring resonator is proposed. By changing the characteristic impedances of the loaded stubs, the bandwidth of the passband can be controlled with the center frequency unchanged. The even-and odd-mode method is applied to obtain the expression of S11 and S21.

Hairpin Tunable Bandpass Filter with Improved Selectivity and Tunability

2007 Asia-Pacific Microwave Conference, 2007
In this paper, a hairpin tunable bandpass filter which has enhanced selectivity and tunability is proposed. The varactors loaded open stubs between quarter-wavelength resonators are introduced to exhibit transmission zeros near the passband and thus better selectivity in the tuning range.

Adaptive Nonlinear Equalization of a Tunable Bandpass Filter

IEEE Microwave and Wireless Components Letters, 2019
The mitigation of third-order intermodulation distortion produced by a nonlinear tunable bandpass filter (BPF) in a digital receiver channel is demonstrated.

Micromachined micropackaged filter banks and tunable bandpass filters

Proceedings of 1997 Wireless Communications Conference, 2002
Low cost alternatives to conventional switched filter banks and tunable bandpass filters are investigated. Both types of filters in conventional form suffer from high cost, intricate packaging, and large weight and size. Micromachining and micropackaging were used to allow for a high performance, monolithic design on a single low cost substrate with ...

Tunable Bandpass Filter With Independently Controllable Dual Passbands

IEEE Transactions on Microwave Theory and Techniques, 2013
This paper presents a two-pole dual-band tunable bandpass filter (BPF) with independently controllable dual passbands based on a novel tunable dual-mode resonator. This resonator principally comprises a λ/2 resonator and two varactor diodes. One varactor is placed at the center of the resonator to determine the dominant even-mode resonant frequency ...

Digitally tunable bandpass filter for cognitive radio applications

2012 IEEE 17th International Workshop on Computer Aided Modeling and Design of Communication Links and Networks (CAMAD), 2012
A lumped-element tunable pre-selection bandpass is presented that consists of three coupled resonators. The bandpass employs a digitally tunable capacitor (DTC) and allows for tuning of the centre frequency with a resolution of 5 bit. It covers the frequency range from 450MHz to 940 MHz, including the DVB-T band, the TV white space (TVWS) band, and the
