Applied Optics, 1984A real time tunable electrooptic rf filter is demonstrated using a multichannel total internal reflection modulator to spatially filter the output of a Bragg cell. The demonstrated filter has a bandwidth to resolution ratio of 28. This ratio can potentially be increased to over 5000 with a like number of individually resolved frequencies.

Optically tunable optical filter
Applied Optics, 1995We experimentally demonstrate an optically tunable optical filter that uses photorefractive barium titanate. With our filter we implement a spectrum analyzer at 632.8 nm with a resolution of 1.2 nm. We simulate a wavelength-division multiplexing system by separating two semiconductor laser diodes, at 1560 nm and 1578 nm, with the same filter.

Applied Optics, 2023A terahertz (THz) antenna with tunable filtering is designed and numerically studied. A slotted monopole radiator with defected ground structure is used for operating with wideband response with an impedance bandwidth in the range of 3.80–11.98 THz for S 11 ≤ − 10 d B .

Applied Optics, 1998The tuning performance of a liquid-crystal, electro-optically tunable, Lyot filter is described. This filter is widely tunable across the visible region up to a wavelength of approximately 630 nm and has very high performance characteristics that are preserved over the entire tuning range.

Tunable Filters with Extended Tunability
Japanese Journal of Applied Physics, 1992Filters with extended tunability using waveguide devices are proposed. The first and second types of filters are combinations of a filter with a wide tuning range and a filter with narrow passbands. The first type is composed of cascaded filters and the second type is the filter with a wide tuning range embedded in a resonator.
