Fast Electronically Tunable Filter Bank

MILCOM 2005 - 2005 IEEE Military Communications Conference, 2005
This article shows a new electronically tunable filter bank. The main characteristics are: wide frequency range, 6 to 18GHz, compact size and fast response within the temperature range of -40/spl deg/ C to 75/spl deg/ C. To achieve these objectives the filter bank is built using HMIC and MMIC technology.

‘Shadow’ Filters—A New Family of Electronically Tunable Filters

IETE Journal of Education, 2010
It is shown that the ‘shadow’ filter, introduced recently by Lakys and Fabre, is capable of achieving not only a constant bandwidth bandpass filter, but also several other interesting characteristics depending upon the choice of the desired output port and the port from which feedback signal is derived.

Adaptively-tunable RF photonic filters

2015 IEEE 58th International Midwest Symposium on Circuits and Systems (MWSCAS), 2015
The emergence of silicon photonics has enabled potential implementations of RF photonic filters with the size, weight, and power requirements of radio systems with small form factors. This paper presents a fourth-order elliptic digital filter designed in the optical domain with all-pass filter (APF) unit cells. A monitor-based adaptive tuning algorithm

Narrowband tunable photonic notch filter

Optics Letters, 2009
We propose a technique for realization of a high-contrast, tunable, low-insertion-loss notch filter using polarization selectivity of whispering-gallery-mode resonators. We demonstrate a 10 MHz filter with 5.5 dB insertion loss and 45.5 dB of in-band rejection. The measured rejection value is limited by the finite (3 kHz) linewidth of our laser.

A Microstrip Nonreciprocal Tunable YIG Filter

IEEE Journal of Solid-State Circuits, 1968
A nonreciprocal tunable YIG filter in a microstrip configuration has been constructed which makes use of a novel method of generating a circularly, polarized field in the plane of a microstrip circuit. Nonreciprocities in excess of 40 dB have been obtained at X band with relatively low insertion loss and VSWR.
