Sustainable Furfural Biomass Feedstocks Electrooxidation toward Value‐Added Furoic Acid with Energy‐Saving H2 Fuel Production Using Pt‐Decorated Co3O4 Nanospheres

Pt‐Co3O4 nanospheres with Pt NPs size of ∼4.2 nm was obtained via one‐pot PLAL and realized an excellent catalyst for electrochemical oxidation of furfural biomass to furoic acid. Furfural oxidation‐paired electrolyzer delivers a simultaneously production of energy‐saving H2 fuel at cathode and 2‐furoic acid at anode.

This present study aimed to investigate the phytochemical content and antioxidant and antidiabetic activities of Curculigo latifolia leaves (CL) and C. latifolia roots (CR) found in Brunei Darussalam. Phytochemical screening showed that CL and CR extracts contain saponins, tannins, glycosides, and terpenoids.
