Evaluation of tungro-resistant lines based on tungro disease severity and agronomic characteristics

open access: yesJurnal Hama dan Penyakit Tumbuhan Tropika, 2022
Tungro disease severity and agronomic characteristics of tungro-resistant lines. Tungro is one of the diseases problem in rice production. The simplest approach to solve the problem is to use the resistance tungro variety, which is made of tungro resistance lines.

The Biology, Epidemiology, and Management of Rice Tungro Disease in Asia [PDF]

open access: yesPlant Disease, 2002
Many farmers in South and Southeast Asia describe rice tungro disease as a cancer disease because of the severe damage it causes and the difficulty of controlling it (121). As the most important of the 14 rice viral diseases, tungro was first recognized as a leafhopper-transmitted virus disease in 1963 (88).

OsRF2b interacting with OsbZIP61 modulates nitrogen use efficiency and grain yield via heterodimers in rice. [PDF]

open access: yesPlant Biotechnol J
Summary Nitrogen (N) is critical for crop growth, and enhancing nitrogen use efficiency (NUE) is essential for achieving high grain yields and quality in crop production. In this study, we identified two transcription factors OsRF2b and OsbZIP61, which localize in the nucleus and function as negative regulators of NUE and grain yield in rice.
