Synthesis and Characterization of Tungsten Suboxide WnO3n−1 Nanotiles

open access: yesNanomaterials, 2021
WnO3n−1 nanotiles, with multiple stoichiometries within one nanotile, were synthesized via the chemical vapour transport method. They grow along the [010] crystallographic axis, with the thickness ranging from a few tens to a few hundreds of nm, with the

Reversible hydrogen spillover in Ru-WO3-x enhances hydrogen evolution activity in neutral pH water splitting

open access: yesNature Communications, 2022
While water splitting electrolysis offers an appealing means to produce H2 fuel, catalysts show sluggish reaction rate in neutral media. Here, authors utilize hydrogen spillover from oxygen-deficient tungsten oxides to Ru nanoparticles to boost the ...

OXIDATION OF TUNGSTEN AND TUNGSTEN BASED ALLOYS [PDF]

open access: yes, 1961
Abstract : The results of studies related to the oxidation of W and its alloys are studied. The pressure of WO3 polymers over WO2 was measured in a W Knudsen cell and found to agree with measurements in a Pt cell. Literature data for WO2 WO3 were combined with vapor pressures determined in this project to give thermodynamic values for W18O49 and W20O58.
