Exploring the Impact of In Ovo Injection of Flavonoid-Based Aromatase Inhibitors on Gonadal Histology Differentiation in Ross 308 Broiler Chickens. [PDF]

open access: yesVet Med Sci
This study aimed to evaluate the in ovo injection of nettle extract, mushroom extract and their mixture as natural anti‐aromatase on sex reversal, histological changes in ovaries and testes and carcass characteristics of Ross 308 broiler chickens. Sex differentiation in avian species A completely randomized block design used to allocate 500 fertilized ...

Heart matters: How glucose‐ and lipid‐modulating drugs remodel epicardial adipose tissue accumulation, inflammatory patterns and browning

open access: yesDiabetes, Obesity and Metabolism, Volume 28, Issue 2, Page 878-894, February 2026.
Abstract Epicardial adipose tissue (EAT) is a metabolically active visceral fat depot located between the myocardium and the visceral pericardium, exerting direct paracrine and vasocrine effects on the heart and coronary vessels. Under physiological conditions, EAT supports myocardial energy metabolism and thermoregulation through fatty acid supply and

Riding the monsoon: Geography and Iron Age trade in the Indian Ocean

open access: yesThe Economic History Review, Volume 79, Issue 1, Page 312-341, February 2026.
Abstract This paper exploits ancient textual sources to develop a database of ancient trade in the Indian Ocean and model trade in the region during the Iron Age. Wind‐speed data are used to construct a gravity model of trade and are combined with detailed textual data from the Periplus of the Erythraean Sea to analyse historical development trends in ...

Recombinant Proteins: A Molecular Tool to Understand Marine Adhesion and to Advance Biomaterials

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, Volume 15, Issue 3, 19 January 2026.
The production of recombinant proteins represents a fundamental step in the characterisation of marine invertebrate adhesives and in the development of bio‐inspired glues. The association of these proteins with other components such as ions, proteins, polysaccharides, or polymers enables the fabrication of biomaterials for various healthcare ...

Sığırlarda tunica fibrosa bulbi ve tunica vasculosa bulbi'nin morfolojik olarak incelenmesi

open access: yes, 2019
In this study, it was aimed to reveal the morphological and morphometric properties of the eye of the cattle using microscopic methods. In order to perform this study, a total of 40 eyes of 20 cattle left and right were extracted without damaging surrounding tissues. Morphological images of the eyes were photographed under stereomicroscope.
