Malignant Mesothelioma of the Tunica Vaginalis

Pathology - Research and Practice, 1990
A case of a malignant mesothelioma of the tunica vaginalis is presented. The patient with an intrascrotal mass was a 32-year-old Japanese male who had no history of asbestos exposure. The tumor was located on the surface of the right testis and was composed of columnar to polygonal cells with glandular and papillary structures.

Pseudostatic and dynamic nanomechanics of the tunica adventitia in elastic arteries using atomic force microscopy.

ACS Nano, 2013
Tunica adventitia, the outer layer of blood vessels, is an important structural feature, predominantly consisting of collagen fibrils. This study uses pseudostatic atomic force microscopy (AFM) nanoindentation at physiological conditions to show that the

Malignant mesothelioma of the tunica vaginalis testis: diagnostic studies and differential diagnosis.

Archives of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine, 2012
Malignant mesothelioma of the tunica vaginalis testis is an extremely rare tumor representing 0.3% to 5% of all malignant mesotheliomas. Gross examination of testicular mesotheliomas typically reveals tumor nodules studding the thickened tunica vaginalis

Mesothelioma in the tunica vaginalis of a bull

Journal of Comparative Pathology, 1988
Bilateral mesothelioma in the tunica vaginalis of an 18-month-old bull is described. Differentiation from adenocarcinoma was based on ultrastructural features, particularly on the morphology of the microvilli and the presence of microfilaments. The aetiology of this neoplasm in the tunica vaginalis is not known.

Marlex Replacement of Tunica Albuginea

Journal of Urology, 1980
Prosthetic penile placement for management of impotence secondary to priapism often is difficult owing to scarring the corpus cavernosum. A patient with priapism treated with saline flush to allow detumescence had a Proteus abscess of the corpus cavernosum requiring multiple debridement procedures.
