Malignant mesothelioma of tunica vaginalis testis

A case of biphasic malignant mesothelioma of the tunica vaginalis occurring in a sixty-four-year-old man is described. The tumor metastasized widely and led to the patient's death two and one-half years after diagnosis. Review of the literature revealed 7 cases of malignant mesothelioma of tunica vaginalis.

The incidence of fibrous pseudotumor of the tunica vaginalis testis is rare. It is a benign, fibroproliferative process with hyalinization and sometimes with focal calcification. In most cases malignancy is suspected although by careful physical examination it may be possible to establish the diagnosis pre-operatively.

Lymphatic cysts of the tunica vaginalis testis

Abstract A case of cystic hygroma of the tunica vaginalis testis is described. It was discovered in the differential diagnosis of multiple painless lumps in the scrotum. Its relationship with retroperitoneal lymphatic cysts as well as the nomenclature of these hamartomas is discussed. Treatment was by excision.

An ideal free graft substance for urethroplasty should: 1, be well accepted at the site of urethroplasty with rapid healing; 2, not invite secondary complications, such as cysts, hair growth and calculus formation; 3, not cause scarring or recurrent stricture disease, and 4, be easy to procure and handle.
