Shear properties of jointed dual-pylon of the cable-stayed bridge with separated unequal-width decks under asymmetric load

open access: yesAdvances in Bridge Engineering
The significant load disparity between the two decks of a cable-stayed bridge with separated unequal-width decks results in complex asymmetric static effects in the jointed dual-pylon.

Tempi di Tunnelling (Tunneling Times)

open access: yes, 1998
In this review (in Italian) we critically and detaily examine various definitions existing in the literature for the tunnelling times: namely, the phase-time; the centroid-based times; the Buttiker and Landauer times; the Larmor times; the complex (path-integral and Bohm) times; the dwell time, and the generalized (Olkhovsky and Recami) dwell time ...

The Dynamics of Interfacial Trap States in High‐Detectivity Near‐Infrared Photomultiplication Organic Photodetectors

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Photomultiplication organic photodetectors (PM OPDs) are an attractive strategy for health‐monitoring. Here, PM‐OPDs are reported with a specific detectivity of 5.7 × 1012 Jones and external quantum efficiency values of 3500% under −10 V. The dynamics of carrier trapping in these devices are elucidated through trap selective spectroscopical techniques.

Molecular Cross‐Linking of MXenes: Tunable Interfaces and Chemiresistive Sensing

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
In this study, Ti3C2Tx MXenes are initially functionalized using oleylamine ligands to form stable dispersions in an organic solvent. Subsequently ligand exchange with α,ω‐diaminoalkanes enables cross‐linking, along with precise tuning of interfaces. This structural control translates into tunable charge transport and responsive VOC sensing, showing ...

An integrated method to prevent confined floor water inrush based on no pillar mining with pressure relief and grouting reinforcement

open access: yesGeomechanics and Geophysics for Geo-Energy and Geo-Resources
Confined water in the floor poses a significant endanger to coal mine safety. To reduce damage to the floor from mining, an innovative method for preventing confined floor water inrush based on automatic roadway formation without pillar (ARFP) mining ...

Field Tests on the Attenuation Characteristics of the Blast Air Waves in a Long Road Tunnel: A Case Study

open access: yesShock and Vibration, 2019
After an explosion occurs in a tunnel, the blast waves take on diverse forms of attenuation in different regions when it propagates along the tunnel. However, the prediction of the overpressure decay laws proposed in previous studies has not taken into ...

Photon tunneling microscopy

open access: yesApplied Optics, 1989
Abstract The Photon Tunneling Microscope is used to provide high resolution (subnanometer vertical), quantifiable, real-time, 3-D (with continuously variable viewpoint) imaging and profilometry of homogenous dielectric samples, whether transparent or absorbing. A partial list of these includes: thin films (micraroughness.

Spectrally Tunable 2D Material‐Based Infrared Photodetectors for Intelligent Optoelectronics

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Intelligent optoelectronics through spectral engineering of 2D material‐based infrared photodetectors. Abstract The evolution of intelligent optoelectronic systems is driven by artificial intelligence (AI). However, their practical realization hinges on the ability to dynamically capture and process optical signals across a broad infrared (IR) spectrum.

Research on Deformation Mechanisms and Control Technology for Floor Heave in Deep Dynamic Pressure Roadway

open access: yesApplied Sciences
Under deep, high-intensity mining conditions, a high mineral pressure develops at the working face, which can easily cause floor heave deformation of the roadway.
