Automatic detection method of tunnel lining multi‐defects via an enhanced You Only Look Once network

Comput. Aided Civ. Infrastructure Eng., 2022
Aiming to solve the challenges of low detection accuracy, poor anti‐interference ability, and slow detection speed in the traditional tunnel lining defect detection methods, a novel deep learning‐based model, named You Only Look Once network v4 enhanced ...

A literature review on properties and applications of grouts for shield tunnel

, 2020
Grouting is one of the most important auxiliary methods for shield tunnel, and there are huge differences of constituent materials and properties of grouts for different strata.

Soil arching due to leaking of tunnel buried in water-rich sand

, 2020
For tunnel buried in water-rich sand stratum, water intrusion into tunnel lining would bring sand particles into the tunnel and then caused ground subsidence or even cave-in of roadway (sinkhole).

Deep learning based image recognition for crack and leakage defects of metro shield tunnel

Tunnelling and Underground Space Technology, 2018
The performance of traditional visual inspection by handcrafted features for crack and leakage defects of metro shield tunnel is hardly satisfactory nowadays because it is low-efficient to distinguish defects from some interference such as segmental ...

Hazard analysis on tunnel hydrogen jet fire based on CFD simulation of temperature field and concentration field

, 2020
In order to research the fire characteristic of hydrogen jet fire in tunnels under different conditions, computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations of the hydrogen jet fire from a hydrogen transport vehicle inside a tunnel were carried out.

TUNNELS - TUNNEL BORING MACHINES.

Proceedings of the Institution of Civil Engineers - Civil Engineering, 1994
This paper begins by describing the requirements for the tunnelling machines used in the construction of the Channel Tunnel. Five machines were used, three on the marine tunnels and two on the land tunnels. The description is then developed, distinguishing between the types of machines working under the sea and those under land.
