Dedicated to the memory of Professor Michael Marinov, a friend, a colleague and a man of firm principles who believed in his right to live in peace in Israel, the land of his ancestors (Latex, 5 eps figures, uses sprocl style), to be published in the Michael Marinov Memorial Volume, Eds. M. Olshanetsky and A. Vainshtein (World Scientific, 2002)

A previously unreported coordination motif stabilising single Fe atoms by indigo chelation and pyridyl coordination on Au(111) has been revealed. By using planar tritopic pyridyl linkers (TPyB), extended 2D porous networks of indigo3(TPyB)2Fe6 form. These networks can be crystalline or vitreous and offer an environment where individual coordination ...

Dynamic Response of a Double-Beam System Subjected to a Harmonic Moving Load
The dynamic behavior of a double-beam configuration subjected to a harmonic moving load was studied in this paper. The model was built to represent the wheel–track system that was composed of two infinite Timoshenko beams joined by uniformly spaced ...

Efficient orthogonal control of tunnel couplings in a quantum dot array
Electrostatically-defined semiconductor quantum dot arrays offer a promising platform for quantum computation and quantum simulation. However, crosstalk of gate voltages to dot potentials and inter-dot tunnel couplings complicates the tuning of the ...

MOFs and COFs in Electronics: Bridging the Gap between Intrinsic Properties and Measured Performance
Metal‐organic frameworks (MOFs) and covalent organic frameworks (COFs) hold promise for advanced electronics. However, discrepancies in reported electrical conductivities highlight the importance of measurement methodologies. This review explores intrinsic charge transport mechanisms and extrinsic factors influencing performance, and critically ...

Molecular states in carbon nanotube double quantum dots
We report electrical transport measurements through a semiconducting single-walled carbon nanotube (SWNT) with three additional top-gates. At low temperatures the system acts as a double quantum dot with large inter-dot tunnel coupling allowing for the ...

Ferroelectricity in thin HfO2‐based films offers great possibilities for next‐generation neuromorphic memory devices. There, the response to subcoercive voltage signals is driven by the movement of mobile interfaces and their interaction with crystal defects – a yet rather unexplored aspect, which we shed light on and gain new insights into the complex

Spin torque, tunnel-current spin polarization and magnetoresistance in MgO magnetic tunnel junctions
We examine the spin torque (ST) response of magnetic tunnel junctions (MTJs) with ultra-thin MgO tunnel barrier layers to investigate the relationship between the spin-transfer torque and the tunnel magnetoresistance (TMR) under finite bias. We find that

In MOCVD MoS2 memristors, a current compliance‐regulated Ag filament mechanism is revealed. The filament ruptures spontaneously during volatile switching, while subsequent growth proceeds vertically through the MoS2 layers and then laterally along the van der Waals gaps during nonvolatile switching.

Low Resistance GaN/InGaN/GaN Tunnel Junctions
Enhanced interband tunnel injection of holes into a PN junction is demonstrated using P-GaN/InGaN/N-GaN tunnel junctions with a specific resistivity of 1.2 X 10-4 {\Omega} cm2.
