Switchable Magnonic Crystals Based on Spin Crossover/CrSBr Heterostructures

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Multiscale modeling is employed to investigate the functionality of a light‐controlled, tunable magnonic crystal based on spin‐crossover Fe‐pz molecules integrated with a monolayer of CrSBr. Ab initio simulations confirm that the molecules remain functional on the CrSBr surface, while a semiclassical elastic model demonstrates that light‐induced ...

Large‐Scale Determination of Frontier Orbital Energies of Disordered Small‐Molecule Organic Semiconductors Using Exciplex Emission Spectra

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Accurately knowing the frontier orbital energies of the structurally disordered small‐molecule organic semiconductors that are used in optoelectronic devices such as organic light‐emitting diodes is required to rationally improve their performance. Here, we show that these energies can be deduced with a large accuracy from the peak energies of

Responses of a shallow tunnel in liquefiable ground subject to multiple shakings [PDF]

open access: yes
This paper addresses the issue of the dynamic responses of a shallow tunnel in liquefiable ground subject to multiple shakings. The topic is of special importance, because earthquakes often strike the same geological location repeatedly in a short period.

Step‐Edge Functionalization by N‐Heterocyclic Carbenes Enhances Catalytic Activity in Electrochemical CO2 Reduction

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Atomically precise functionalization by N‐heterocyclic carbenes enhances the catalytic efficiency of macroscopically defined step edges toward electrochemical CO2${\rm CO}_2$ reduction. Sub‐molecular imaging reveals conformational differences between specific NHCs, which can be correlated with their catalytic performance. Photoelectron spectroscopy and

An integrated method to prevent confined floor water inrush based on no pillar mining with pressure relief and grouting reinforcement

open access: yesGeomechanics and Geophysics for Geo-Energy and Geo-Resources
Confined water in the floor poses a significant endanger to coal mine safety. To reduce damage to the floor from mining, an innovative method for preventing confined floor water inrush based on automatic roadway formation without pillar (ARFP) mining ...

Super‐Resolution Ultrasound Based Cell Tracking With Polymeric Nanobubbles

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
This study presents a super‐resolution ultrasound platform for tracking cells in vivo. Biocompatible polymeric nanobubbles are used as highly echogenic intracellular labels. Following the injection of cells and microbubbles, ultrasound localization microscopy (ULM) can dynamically match the microvascular architecture and individual cell trajectories ...

Ferroelectric Dynamic‐Field‐Driven Nucleation and Growth Model for Predictive Materials‐To‐Circuit Co‐Design

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
This study presents a compact dynamic‐field‐driven nucleation and growth (DFNG) model that captures ferroelectric switching behavior under arbitrary voltage waveforms. It enables extraction of time‐dependent domain wall velocity and growth dimensionality, which can then be extended to device‐level modeling.
