Aluminum-ferromagnetic Josephson tunnel junctions for high quality magnetic switching devices
Applied Physics Letters, 2022The competition between superconducting and ferromagnetic orderings in Josephson devices has promoted fundamental and applicative studies of high impact for superconducting digital technology, cryogenic memories, and spintronics, where the possibility of

Influence of pinholes and weak-points in aluminum-oxide Josephson junctions
PHYSICAL REVIEW MATERIALS, 2023Josephson junctions are the key components used in superconducting qubits for quantum computing. The advancement of quantum computing is limited by a lack of stability and reproducibility of qubits which ultimately originates in the amorphous tunnel ...

Josephson Tunnel-Junction Electrode Materials
Science, 1980Josephson superconducting devices of the tunnel-junction type have exciting potential for use in building ultrahigh-speed computers. We consider the properties of superconducting metals that are needed for such devices that would be used in integrated computer circuits operated at a temperature near absolute zero.

Picosecond switching in Josephson tunnel junctions
Topical Meeting on Picosecond Electronics and Optoelectronics, 1987In this work we have followed our earlier attempts to apply the electro-optic sampler to superconducting electronics,1 and developed a fully cryogenic electro-optic sampler by integrating and immersing in superfluid helium both the photo-conductive switch and the birefringent lithium tantalate sensor.

Resistively shunted Josephson tunnel junctions
Solid State Communications, 1978Abstract SIS tunnel junctions have externally been shunted by a thin metallic film. It is shown that such devices exhibit radiation induced steps as point contacts or microbridges. This result agrees qualitatively with the commonly used lumped circuit model of Josephson junctions.

Chaos in Josephson tunnel junctions
IEEE Transactions on Magnetics, 1983Experimental data have been obtained confirming the theoretical assumption of chaos existence in superconducting tunnel junctions (STJ) with hysteretic I-V curve (IVC) in the presence of the external microwave radiation for zero bias current. The dynamic of the chaos formation was investigated and the chaos intensity was estimated.
