Atomically Resolved Electron Reflectivity at a Metal/Semiconductor Interface
An atomically flat interface is achieved in the incoherent Al/Ge heterostructure using molecular beam epitaxy (MBE). Scanning tunneling microscopy (STM) reveals a laterally periodic modulation of electron reflectivity with atomic resolution at the commensurate Al/Ge interfacial lattice, originating from the local electronic states.

Phase oscillations in superfluid 3He-B weak links [PDF]
Oscillations in quantum phase about a mean value of $\pi$, observed across micropores connecting two \helium baths, are explained in a Ginzburg-Landau phenomenology. The dynamics arises from the Josephson phase relation, the interbath continuity equation,

This roadmap offers a forward‐looking perspective on spin enhancement in the oxygen evolution reaction. It highlights how combining systematic experiments, advanced computational modeling, and novel magnetic, chiral, or hybrid materials can deepen the understanding of spin‐dependent catalytic mechanisms.

Elliptic Annular Josephson Tunnel Junctions in an external magnetic field: The statics
We have investigated the static properties of one-dimensional planar Josephson tunnel junctions in the most general case of elliptic annuli. We have analyzed the dependence of the critical current in the presence of an external magnetic field applied ...

Adiabatic quantum computation with Cooper pairs [PDF]
We propose a new variant of the controlled-NOT quantum logic gate based on adiabatic level-crossing dynamics of the q-bits. The gate has a natural implementation in terms of the Cooper pair transport in arrays of small Josephson tunnel junctions.

Anodization-based process for the fabrication of all niobium nitride Josephson junction structures
We studied the growth and oxidation of niobium nitride (NbN) films that we used to fabricate superconductive tunnel junctions. The thin films were deposited by dc reactive magnetron sputtering using a mixture of argon and nitrogen. The process parameters

Odd‐Frequency Pairing in Josephson Junctions Coupled by Magnetic Textures
Magnetically textured Josephson junctions provide a controllable platform for exploring Majorana physics. Odd‐frequency equal‐spin triplet correlations reliably signal the onset of topological superconductivity. The analysis of these correlations, shifting between sharp 1/ω resonances and linear low‐energy features, reveals when Majorana modes couple ...

Microwave-induced thermal escape in Josephson junctions
We investigate, by experiments and numerical simulations, thermal activation processes of Josephson tunnel junctions in the presence of microwave radiation. When the applied signal resonates with the Josephson plasma frequency oscillations, the switching
