Investigation of Thiocarbamates as Potential Inhibitors of the SARS-CoV-2 Mpro
In the present study we tested, using the microscale thermophoresis technique, a small library of thionocarbamates, thiolocarbamates, sulfide and disulfide as potential lead compounds for SARS-CoV-2 Mpro drug design. The successfully identified binder is

A diode device combining lateral field-effect transport and vertical tunneling in a multi-quantum-well heterostructure [PDF]
The authors discuss an electronic device with asymmetric contacts to a InGaAs-InP multilayer heterostructure. Current enters via an alloyed ohmic contact into the quantum wells (QWs) and flows laterally along capacitively coupled channels.

Evidence for the Josephson Effect in Quantum Hall Bilayers [PDF]
This thesis presents tunneling measurements on bilayer two-dimensional (2D) electrons systems in GaAs/AlGaAs double quantum wells. 2D-2D tunneling is applied here as a probe of the inter-layer correlated quantum Hall state at total Landau level filling

Investigations of Nanoscale Variations in Spin and Charge Transport in Manganites and Organic Semiconductors Using Spin Polarized Scanning Tunneling Spectroscopy [PDF]
Spintronics is a new class of spin-dependent electronics with great potential for nonvolatile memory and logic technology. Additionally, spintronics may be combined with optoelectronic applications to achieve higher efficiency and novel capabilities. All

Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.

Tunneling and Tax Aggressiveness [PDF]
In Brazil, there are no mechanisms to identify cases where controlling shareholders might be using tax aggressiveness as a strategy to expropriate value from minority shareholders, the practice known as tunneling.
