[Structure of the epithelium of the parasitic turbellaria Notenera ivanovi (Turbellaria: Fecampiida)].

The ultrastructure of the epithelium in Notentera ivanovi (Turbellaria, Fecampiida) has been studied. Notentera ivanovi lacks the digestive system but has a pad of the epidermal cells on the dorsal side of the body, which seems to be similar to the digestive epidermis on LM.

Specific features of the uterine structure in viviparous rhabdocoelic turbellaria Bothromesostoma essenii (turbellaria, Mesostominae)

The uterine structure of a viviparous rhabdocoelic turbellarian (Rhabdocoela, Typhloplanoida, Typhloplanidae, Mesostominae) has been studied. These turbellarians produce summer eggs poor in yolk that develop in the parent’s body. It is shown that embryos receive nourishment from the parent by connecting to its uterine epithelium.

The musculocutaneus complex of ten planarian species from three families and two marine triclads were studied with the use of light microscopy and transmission electronic microscopy. Some differences in structure of basal plate, subepidermal and dorso-ventral musculature were found.
