ABSTRACT Silver‐doped cerium oxide nanoparticles (Ag/CeO2 NPs) were synthesized using Ricinus communis seed extract as a bio‐derived fuel in a solution combustion method. The combustion reaction, carried out at 450°C with AgNO3 and (NH4)2[Ce (NO3)6] as metal precursors, produced CeO2 and Ag/CeO2 NPs.

Activo Liquid and Halquinol inhibit Salmonella and Escherichia coli in culture media. Activo Liquid exhibits bactericidal action, whereas HA is bacteriostatic, and their combination results in positive or indifferent interactions. This combination effectively inhibits E. coli throughout digestion simulation, thus reducing the required concentrations of

Pre-impoundment Limnological Study of the Strawberry River in Northeastern Arkansas [PDF]
A study of pre-impoundment limnological characteristics of the Strawberry River was made from August, 1967 to June, 1968. Two collecting stations were established, one upstream which would not be inundated and a lower station which would be inundated ...

Reuse of recovered coagulants in water treatment: An investigation on the effect coagulant purity has on treatment performance [PDF]
Coagulant recovery offers many potential benefits to water treatment, by reducing chemical demand and waste production. The key obstacle to successful implementation is achieving the same levels of treatment quality and process economics as commercial ...

On a shallow water model for the simulation of turbidity currents [PDF]
We present a model for hyperpycnal plumes or turbidity currents that takes into account the interaction between the turbidity current and the bottom, considering deposition and erosion effects as well as solid transport of particles at the bed load due ...

Face and Construct Validity of a Grapefruit Arthroscopy Training Model With Active Fluid Management
Purpose To evaluate the face and construct validity of a grapefruit arthroscopy training model with active fluid management across varying levels of arthroscopic experience. Methods Orthopaedic residents, fellows, and attending surgeons were stratified into novice (n = 10), intermediate (n = 10), and advanced (n = 9) groups.

Assessments at multiple levels of biological organization allow for an integrative determination of physiological tolerances to turbidity in an endangered fish species. [PDF]
Turbidity can influence trophic levels by altering species composition and can potentially affect fish feeding strategies and predator-prey interactions.

Abstract A novel phosphoric acid‐treated green coconut fiber (GCF‐C) was developed as a catalyst for hydrogen production from the hydrolysis of sodium borohydride (NaBH4). Characterization techniques confirmed structural modifications, including X‐ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, X‐ray fluorescence, Fourier transform infrared, and ...
