Analyzing individual rent price ratios in eastern German agricultural land markets: A GAMLSS approach

open access: yesAgribusiness, EarlyView.
Abstract This study explores the rent price ratio in agricultural land markets, crucial for evaluating market efficiency, policy needs, and farmer decision‐making. Traditionally, the analyses faced challenges due to the absence of concurrent sale and rent data for the same land, potentially leading to biased results.

Nasal turbinates and the evolution of mammalian endothermy

open access: yes
Although endothermy is one of the most significant evolutionary developments in the vertebrates, its origins among extinct taxa have traditionally been difficult to determine.

Virus Titres in Nasal Turbinates, Lungs, Brain, and Olfactory bulb in control and vaccinated ferrets post challenge.

open access: yes, 2014
On the day that each ferret was euthanised samples taken from the turbinates (A), lung (B), brain (C), and olfactory bulb (D) were analysed for viral loads by cell culture (log10TCID50/gram) and plotted as a scatter plot with geometric mean titres for ...

Wine Tourism as a Catalyst for Sustainable Performance: The Mediating Role of Corporate Legitimacy and Green Innovation

open access: yesAgribusiness, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This study aims to explore the influence of Wine Tourism (WT) on the Sustainable Performance (SP) of wineries in Spain. It particularly investigates how Corporate Social Legitimacy (CSL) and Green Innovation (GI) may act as intermediary factors in this relationship.

Bilateral bubble-like inferior turbinate

open access: yesInternational Archives of Otorhinolaryngology, 2009
Case Report: We present one case of bilateral pneumatization of the inferior turbinates, a very rare condition, clinically manifested by obstruction. The surgical approach was carefully planned and carried out, due to a wide communication between the ...

Virus loads are reduced in the nasal turbinates after treatment with the anti-PR8 IgG preparation.

open access: yes, 2013
Unanesthetised BALB/c mice (n = 4) were given 500 pfu of PR8 virus in 10 µl by the intranasal route to establish a localised URT infection. Twenty four hours post-infection, mice were treated with 200 µg, 150 µg, 100 µg or 50 µg of (A) anti-PR8 IgG or ...

Harnessing Digital Microstructure for Simulation‐Guided Optimization of Permanent Magnets

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Discovery, EarlyView.
An experimental‐to‐computational workflow is presented that transforms experimental 3D focused ion beam‐scanning electron microscopy data into a simulation‐ready digital microstructure for multiphase functional materials. Using heavy‐rare‐earth‐free Nd–Fe–B magnets as a model system, the approach quantifies grain connectivity across complex secondary ...

Evaluating Three Foundation Potentials for Predicting Selected Properties of the Co–Ni–Ru Alloy System

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Discovery, EarlyView.
Distributions of intrinsic stacking fault energies (ISFE) among different slip planes in the face‐centered cubic Co2Ni2Ru alloy, predicted by three foundation potentials (DPA, Orb, and SevenNet) and density functional theory (DFT) calculations. This study evaluates the efficacy of three foundation potentials (FPs)—SevenNet, DPA, and Orb—in predicting ...

Comparison of Microdebrider-Assisted Inferior Turbinoplasty and Submucosal Resection for Children with Hypertrophic Inferior Turbinates

open access: yes, 2008
Objectives: The aim of this study was to compare the effectiveness and safety of microdebrider-assisted inferior turbinoplasty (MAIT) with submucosal resection (SR) for children with hypertrophic inferior turbinates.

EMG‐Driven Telemetry and Inference System for Fish: Pose Reconstruction and Flow Sensing

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
This work introduces an electromyography (EMG)‐driven telemetry framework that reconstructs body pose and infers hydrodynamic conditions in freely swimming fish. A custom 16‐channel archival system records intramuscular EMG, enabling deep‐learning models to decode joint kinematics, classify flow regimes, and reveal channel‐efficient sensing strategies.
