Raman Spectroscopy–Based Glucose Feed Control Automates Malic Acid Fermentation
Raman spectroscopy enables automated, closed‐loop glucose feeding for malic acid production with Ustilago trichophora. Online PLS regression of glucose and malic acid provides input for PID control to maintain 20 g/L glucose. The feed is dynamically adjusted and stopped in response to metabolic demand and product inhibition, demonstrating practical ...

ABSTRACT The transition to a circular economy (CE) has become a strategic priority for firms, yet empirical assessments of corporate circularity remain fragmented and heavily dependent on structured indicators or self‐reported metrics. This paper proposes a novel, text‐based circularity index derived from mandatory non‐financial statements of large ...

Critical Materials Import and Environmental Preferences: Evidence From G20 and N11 Economies
ABSTRACT Critical materials such as lithium and cobalt are indispensable for achieving the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 7 (Affordable and Clean Energy) and SDG 13 (Climate Action). While these materials enable the deployment of low‐carbon technologies, including electric vehicle batteries and renewable energy ...

ABSTRACT The emerging concept of Hubs for Circularity (H4Cs) presents an opportunity to create collaborative, self‐sustaining regional industrial ecosystems that drive circular economy transitions at scale. However, the operationalisation of H4Cs faces financial, organisational and data‐driven challenges.

Investor Perceptions of Climate Policy: Insights From the US Inflation Reduction Act
ABSTRACT This paper provides the first event study evidence on how the Inflation Reduction Act's (IRA) dedicated climate provisions reshaped equity valuations in the US carbon‐intensive sectors. Focusing on environmentally sensitive industries (ESI), we analyze cumulative abnormal returns around the four key IRA milestones in 2022–2023.

Automated Process Optimization in a Novel Triple Shaft Mixer with Adaptive Mixing Modes
A novel multi‐purpose mixer with adjustable blade angle and a coaxial stirrer is developed, providing three degrees of freedom. An optimization strategy is integrated to autonomously identify optimal operating conditions through automated tests. The current draw of the main stirrer serves as the optimization criterion, while stirrer speeds, directions,

Potential Analysis of On‐Site Oxygen and Ozone Production for Wastewater Treatment Plants
The potential of a power‐to‐gas process focusing on the oxygen stream to cover an upcoming demand of ozone at German wastewater treatment plants is analyzed. Economic and ecological parameters are compared to the conventional production of hydrogen and oxygen. Powered by on‐site produced wind energy, the process is deemed beneficial.
