Performance Comparison between Steam Injected Gas Turbine and Combined Cycle during Frequency Drops
Single-shaft gas turbine and its cycles are sensitive to frequency drops and, therefore, sudden change loads or large frequency dips might affect their stability.

Identification of hydro turbine governors using PMU data [PDF]
Recent concerns for the frequency quality in the Nordic power system has lead to an increased interest in hydro turbine governors. Among this research have been papers on identification of turbine and turbine governor dynamics from PMU measurements. However, no attempt at a theoretical validation has been made.

Performance Analysis of Abradable Coating Systems for Aircraft Gas Turbines
Three CoNiCrAlY/YSZ/MgAl2O4 abradable liner configurations on a nickel‐superalloy are evaluated by thermal‐gradient cycling and incursion tests. Laser ablation of the bondcoat and/or Y2O3‐stabilized ZrO2 (YSZ) intermediate layer increases mechanical interlocking and bonding for thick topcoats.

Phase‐field simulations coupled with dislocation‐density‐based crystal plasticity modeling reproduce γ′ rafting behavior in single‐crystal Ni‐based superalloys under varied loading conditions. The model captures both macroscopic creep and microscopic morphology evolution, with results matching high‐temperature creep experiments.

A two‐dimensional multiscale finite element analysis framework was established for the first‐generation MoSiBTiC alloy, and the mechanical and fracture‐related parameters of the constituent phases were calibrated through experiments and simulations. The framework provides a basis for analyzing crack propagation behavior in its complex microstructure ...

Hydrogen‐Assisted Fracture of Iron‐Based Fe–Ni–Al Alloys
Principal relations and fracture mechanisms of single‐phase and precipitate‐strengthened Fe–Ni–Al alloys subjected to prior electrochemical hydrogen charging are identified. The mechanisms of hydrogen effect on strength and microhardness are discussed, including hydrogen‐induced increase in microhardness and the role of hydrogen in fracture behavior ...
