Abstract Purpose Develop a general radiofrequency (RF) pulse design algorithm for the design of three‐dimensional (3D) spatially selective refocusing pulses and explore their potential applications in reduced field‐of‐view imaging. Methods Spin‐domain representation was used to describe the effect of RF pulses and to formulate the optimization problem.

Myelin water and tensor‐valued diffusion imaging: (How) are they related?
Abstract Purpose Conventional MRI offers limited insight into specific characteristics of central nervous system tissue, whereas quantitative MRI measures can provide more detailed information about different aspects of microstructure. A multi‐metric approach involving multiple quantitative measures may improve our understanding of healthy tissue and ...

Quadruple‐refocused spin‐locking: A robust method for high‐amplitude T1ρ imaging
Abstract Purpose Longitudinal relaxation time in the rotating frame (T1ρ) is a source of tissue‐specific contrasts, with applications in detecting myocardial fibrosis, liver fibrosis, and early‐stage osteoarthritis. However, T1ρ measurements are sensitive to static (B0) and radiofrequency (B1) magnetic field inhomogeneities.
