Exit chart analysis of parallel data convolutional codes [PDF]
We recently proposed a new class of turbo-like codes called parallel data convolutional codes (PDCCs). The distinct characteristics of PDCCs include parallel data input bits and a self-iterative soft-in/soft-out a posteriori probability(APP) decoder. In

Interleaving Gains for Receive Diversity Schemes of Distributed Turbo Codes in Wireless Half–Duplex Relay Channels [PDF]
This paper proposes the interleaving gain in two different distributed turbo-coding schemes: Distributed Turbo Codes (DTC) and Distributed Multiple Turbo Codes (DMTC) for half-duplex relay system as an extension of our previous work on turbo coding ...

Reprograming of proteasomal degradation by branched chain amino acid metabolism
Using genetics and multi‐omics analyses in Caenorhabditis elegans, we identified adaptive regulation of the ubiquitin‐proteasome system (UPS) in response to defective branched chain amino acid (BCAA) metabolism. Worms with impaired BCAA metabolism show slower turnover of a GFP‐based proteasome substrate, which is suppressed by loss‐of‐function of the ...

Multi-non-binary turbo codes [PDF]
International audienceThis paper presents a new family of turbo codes called multi-non-binary turbo codes (MNBTCs) that generalizes the concept of turbo codes to multi-non-binary (MNB) parallel concatenated convolutional codes (PCCC).

Epithelial–mesenchymal transition (EMT) and tumor‐infiltrating lymphocytes (TILs) are associated with early breast cancer response to neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NAC). This study evaluated EMT and TIL shifts, with immunofluorescence and RNA sequencing, at diagnosis and in residual tumors as potential biomarkers associated with treatment response.

Understanding Turbo Codes: A Signal Processing Study [PDF]
In this paper, we study turbo codes from the digital signal processing point of view by defining turbo codes over the complex field. It is known that iterative decoding and interleaving between concatenated parallel codes are two key elements that make turbo codes perform significantly better than the conventional error control codes.

A flexible micro‐electrocorticography array with PEDOT:SS electrodes is shown to be compatible with ultra‐high magnetic field MRI up to 9.4 T. Multimodal brain monitoring is demonstrated by performing simultaneous blood oxygen level‐dependent functional MRI in parallel with electrophysiology.

Near Capacity Irregular Turbo Code [PDF]
The purpose of this study is to construct a near capacity Irregular Turbo Code and to evaluate its performance over Gaussian channel. The methodology used to evaluate and measure the performance of the new design is by simulating the system by developing a software platform using Matlab.

Turbo Packet Combining Strategies for the MIMO-ISI ARQ Channel [PDF]
This paper addresses the issue of efficient turbo packet combining techniques for coded transmission with a Chase-type automatic repeat request (ARQ) protocol operating over a multiple-input--multiple-output (MIMO) channel with intersymbol interference (ISI).

The novel family of redundant residue number system (RRNS) codes is studied. RRNS codes constitute maximum–minimum distance block codes, exhibiting identical distance properties to Reed–Solomon codes.
