Extrinsic Information Modification in the Turbo Decoder by Exploiting Source Redundancies for HEVC Video Transmitted Over a Mobile Channel

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2016
An iterative turbo decoder-based cross layer error recovery scheme for compressed video is presented in this paper. The soft information exchanged between two convolutional decoders is reinforced both by channel coded parity and video compression ...

Turbo Equalization Of Nonlinear ISI-channels Using High Rate FEC Codes [PDF]

open access: yesAdvances in Radio Science, 2005
Turbo equalization is a widely known method to cope with low signal to noise ratio (SNR) channels corrupted by linear intersymbol interference (ISI) (Berrou and Galvieux, 1993; Hagenauer et al., 1997).

Sensitivity analysis of the channel estimation deviation to the MAP decoding algorithm

open access: yesTongxin xuebao, 2006
As a necessary input parameter for MAP decoding algorithm,SNR was normally obtained from the channel estimation unit.Corresponding research indicated that SNR estimation deviation degraded significantly the performance of Turbo decoding.MAP decoding ...

DMS‐MaPseq and DREEM Analyses Implicate the Critical Role of RNA Structural Dynamics in Turnip Yellow Mosaic Virus Pathogenicity

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
RNA structural profiling of Turnip Yellow Mosaic Virus by DMS‐MaPseq and DREEM analyses uncover that viral genome‐wide RSS is highly complicated and heterogeneous, with alternative RSSs widely distributed across the genome. Notably, the viral 3’ tRNA‐like structure adopts alternative conformations in vivo.

Blood Biomarkers of Helicobacter pylori‐Infected Chronic Gastritis in Active Versus Stable Phases: A Clinical Indicator Analysis Combined With Proteomic and Metabolomic Investigations

open access: yesiMetaMed, EarlyView.
Combining clinical data with serum proteomics and metabolomics, the HGB–CAPZB–acetic acid model was developed as a potential diagnostic index to distinguish the active and stable stages of Helicobacter pylori‐infected chronic gastritis, and the related mechanism was explored through multi‐omics.

Neurodevelopmental Disorder with Dystonia and Chorea Linked to De Novo Variants in the Splicing Regulator SRRM4

open access: yesMovement Disorders, EarlyView.
Abstract Background SRRM4 is an exclusively neural‐expressed splicing‐factor gene not yet associated with a monogenic condition. Objective We sought to delineate movement disorders caused by SRRM4 variants. De novo splice‐donor‐site variants at position +2 of intron 5 of SRRM4 (c.464+2T>C, c.464+2T>A) occurred in three unrelated patients with dystonia ...

CLEAR Interference Cancellation in a Wideband Dual‐Channel Receiver for Independent Satellite Multi‐Connectivity Links

open access: yesInternational Journal of Satellite Communications and Networking, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT In this paper, the correlation learning estimation and adaptive reduction (CLEAR) of interference, an adaptive, blind and transparent interference compensation method applied in a wideband dual‐channel receiver, is studied for a pair of independent satellite multi‐connectivity links, using the same carrier frequency and signal bandwidth in use

Extrinsic Information Transfer Charts for Characterizing the Iterative Decoding Convergence of Fully Parallel Turbo Decoders

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2015
Fully parallel turbo decoders (FPTDs) have been shown to offer a more-than-sixfold processing throughput and latency improvement over the conventional logarithmic Bahl-Cocke-Jelinek-Raviv (Log-BCJR) turbo decoders.
