Task co‐use and product improvement: An organization design perspective

open access: yesStrategic Management Journal, Volume 47, Issue 5, Page 1433-1466, May 2026.
Abstract Research Summary Co‐using tasks—using the same task to produce more than one product—promises economies of scope. However, task co‐use also ties products together, changing a firm's task network by introducing cross‐product interdependencies. In light of these interdependencies, we identify an unrecognized downside of task co‐use for product ...

Explainable Remaining Useful Life Prediction Using Interpretable Divisive Feature Clustering

open access: yesApplied Stochastic Models in Business and Industry, Volume 42, Issue 2, March/April 2026.
ABSTRACT Accurate prediction of remaining useful life (RUL) is critical for effective predictive maintenance. While models like long short‐term memory (LSTM) are effective, they often lack interpretability, even when using explainable artificial intelligence (XAI) methods such as shapley additive explanations (SHAP).

Turbojet Engine for Aerial Cargo Robot (ACR)

open access: yesJournal of Robotics and Mechatronics, 2012
Turbine engines have been used as high reliable, safe engines in airline transportation. Safety is the most important factor in the social use of aerial robots. We started research on Aerial Cargo Robots (ACR) in 2004. The first flight of an ACR prototype was successfully achieved on November 22, 2005.

Numerical Investigation of Transonic Axial Compressor Rotor With Leading‐Edge Tubercles

open access: yesEngineering Reports, Volume 8, Issue 3, March 2026.
Amplitude, wavelength, and span‐wise location of the leading‐edge tubercles on a transonic NASA Rotor 37 compressor are numerically optimized. An increase in efficiency by 0.52% compared to the corresponding baseline rotor is observed. The location of the shockwave moves downstream of the rotor with 1.91% higher pressure.
