Effects of Tip Leakage Vortex Cavitation on Flow Field under Cavitation Instability
Cavitation instabilities can induce axial and circumferential vibrations, as well as noise in turbopump inducers. Therefore, the purpose of the present study is to investigate the mechanism of cavitation instability.

Suppression of Subsynchronous Vibration in the SSME HPFTP [PDF]
Space Shuttle Main Engine (SSME) High Pressure Fuel Turbopump (HPFTP) hot-fire dynamic data evaluation and rotordynamic analysis both confirm that two of the most significant turbopump attributes in determining susceptibility to subsynchronous vibration ...

Simulated planetary gas detection using the A.C.M.E. chamber and a novel hollow‐core fiber Raman sensor. Controlled atmospheric mixtures were used to evaluate the sensor’s performance, demonstrating its capability to detect gases such as CO₂, O₂, and N₂. The results support the applicability of the HCF‐based Raman sensor in future planetary exploration

Radial spline assembly for antifriction bearings [PDF]
An outer race carrier is constructed for receiving an outer race of an antifriction bearing assembly. The carrier in turn is slidably fitted in an opening of a support wall to accommodate slight axial movements of a shaft.

Numerical Simulation of Turbopump Inducer Cavitating Behavior
In the present study a numerical model of 3D cavitating flows is proposed. It is applied to investigate the behavior of a spatial turbopump inducer in noncavitating and cavitating conditions.

iSELECTION: An Instrument to Study the Kinetics of Isomer‐Selected Gas‐Phase Ion‐Molecule Reactions
Isomer‐specific reactivity is key in cluster chemistry. Herein, it is shown that how combining drift‐tube ion mobility with mass spectrometry enables the derivation of reaction rate coefficients for coexisting C40+$\text{C}_{40}^{+}$ isomers, opening new avenues for studying complex chemical systems ...
