String Theory and Turbulence [PDF]
We propose a string theory of turbulence that explains the Kolmogorov scaling in 3+1 dimensions and the Kraichnan and Kolmogorov scalings in 2+1 dimensions. This string theory of turbulence should be understood in light of the AdS/CFT dictionary.

Hydrogen Production by Solar Photoreforming of Urban Wastewaters in Thin‐Layer Flat Catalytic Panels
This study demonstrates effective hydrogen production and organic pollutant removal from real urban wastewater using solar photoreforming with a Pt/TiO2 photocatalyst. Tested at lab scale and a pre‐pilot flat catalytic panel reactor under natural sunlight, the process showed sustained activity, pollutant degradation, and hydrogen evolution over nearly ...

Nonlinear wave in granular systems based on elastoplastic dashpot model
The dynamic dashpot models are widely used in EDEM commercial software. However, most dashpot models suffer from a serious numerical issue in calculating the granular chain because the denominator of damping force includes the initial impact velocity ...

Distinct turbulence saturation regimes in stellarators [PDF]
In the complex 3D magnetic fields of stellarators, ion-temperature-gradient turbulence is shown to have two distinct saturation regimes, as revealed by petascale numerical simulations, and explained by a simple turbulence theory.

MHD Turbulence, Turbulent Dynamo and Applications [PDF]
MHD Turbulence is common in many space physics and astrophysics environments. We first discuss the properties of incompressible MHD turbulence. A well-conductive fluid amplifies initial magnetic fields in a process called small-scale dynamo. Below equipartition scale for kinetic and magnetic energies the spectrum is steep (Kolmogorov -5/3) and is ...

Numerical Simulation of a High-Speed Impact of Metal Plates Using a Three-Fluid Model
The process of wave formation at the contact boundary of colliding metal plates is a fundamental basis of explosive welding technology. In this case, the metals are in a pseudo-liquid state at the initial stages of the process, and from a mathematical ...

This work presents self‐propelled CRISPR/Cas9‐functionalized Au–MRs for rapid, amplification‐free, “on‐the‐fly” DNA detection. By harnessing motion‐assisted signal recovery, the platform achieved the limit of detection in low fM DNA concentrations, enabling detection across a wide dynamic range within only 5 min, which is significantly faster than any ...
