Handbook of Establishing and Maintaining Oxygen‐Free Atmospheres
This study presents a practical framework for creating oxygen‐free atmospheres at ambient pressure using silane‐doped inert gases. The results show that ultra‐low oxygen levels and strongly reduced water content can be achieved through controlled silane dosing, drying systems, and sensor monitoring.

Transverse velocities, intermittency and asymmetry in fully developed turbulence
Using experimental transverse velocities data for very high Reynolds number turbulence, we suggest a model describing both formation of intermittency and asymmetry of turbulence.

Modelling supernova-driven turbulence [PDF]
High Mach number shocks are ubiquitous in interstellar turbulence. The Pencil Code is particularly well suited to the study of magnetohydrodynamics in weakly compressible turbulence and the numerical investigation of dynamos because of its high-order advection and time evolution algorithms.

Geometry‐driven thermal behavior in wire‐arc additive manufacturing (WAAM) influences microstructural evolution during nonequilibrium solidification of a chemically complex Fe–Cr–Nb–W–Mo–C nanocomposite system. By comparing different deposits configurations, distinct entropy–cooling rate correlations, segregation, and carbide evolution are revealed ...

Bioprosthetic aortic valves have revolutionized the treatment of aortic stenosis, but their durability is limited by structural valve deterioration (SVD). This review focuses on the pericardial tissue at the heart of these valves, examining how its mechanical properties and calcification drive fatigue and failure.

CONFORMAL MODELS OF MAGNETOHYDRODYNAMIC TURBULENCE [PDF]
Following the previous work of Ferretti and Yang on the role of magnetic fields in the theory of conformal turbulence, we show that nonunitary minimal model solutions to two-dimensional magnetohydrodynamics (MHD) obtained by dimensional reduction from three dimensions exist under different (and more restrictive) conditions.

Cuttlebone‐inspired metamaterials exploit a septum‐wall architecture to achieve excellent mechanical and functional properties. This review classifies existing designs into direct biomimetic, honeycomb‐type, and strut‐type architectures, summarizes governing design principles, and presents a decoupled design framework for interpreting multiphysical ...

Shell Model of Two-dimensional Turbulence in Polymer Solutions
We address the effect of polymer additives on two dimensional turbulence, an issue that was studied recently in experiments and direct numerical simulations.

Energy- and flux-budget (EFB) turbulence closure model for the stably stratified flows. Part I: Steady-state, homogeneous regimes [PDF]
We propose a new turbulence closure model based on the budget equations for the key second moments: turbulent kinetic and potential energies: TKE and TPE (comprising the turbulent total energy: TTE = TKE + TPE) and vertical turbulent fluxes of momentum ...
