We introduce an additively manufactured bioreactor with a perfusion flow system and integrated temperature and pH sensors for skeletal muscle tissue biofabrication. The bioreactor's performance was evaluated by assessing the viability, spreading of the myoblast cells in a printed scaffold, and contraction of the isolated murine musculi interossei ...

A method for analyzing turbulence models
In this article we introduce a concept based on the differential constraints method to examine the closure procedure in Turbulence Models. We show how this concept may be applied to study the problem of interaction and mixing between two semiinfinite ...

Kinetic helicity and MHD turbulence
The issue of dynamical anisotropy in helical three-dimensional magnetohydrodynamic turbulence with a mean magnetic field B₀ is investigated. Using high-resolution direct numerical simulations, we follow the evolution of various isotropic initial states ...

A priori testing of subgrid-scale models for large eddy simulations in supersaturated conditions [PDF]
Turbulence is characterized by irregular movement in pressure and flow velocity. Better understanding of turbulent flow will help in the understanding of air movement including wind currents, dissipation of pollutants and storm formation.

Collision‐Resilient Winged Drones Enabled by Tensegrity Structures
Based on structures of birds such as the woodpeck, this article presents the collision‐resilient aerial robot, SWIFT. SWIFT leverages tensegrity structures in the fuselage and wings which allow it to undergo large deformations in a crash, without sustaining damage. Experiments show that SWIFT can reduce impact forces by 70% over conventional structures.

Consequences of Symmetries on the Analysis and Construction of Turbulence Models
Since they represent fundamental physical properties in turbulence (conservation laws, wall laws, Kolmogorov energy spectrum, ...), symmetries are used to analyse common turbulence models.

From Lab to Landscape: Environmental Biohybrid Robotics for Ecological Futures
This Perspective explores environmental biohybrid robotics, integrating living tissues, microorganisms, and insects for operation in real‐world ecosystems. It traces the leap from laboratory experiments to forests, wetlands, and urban environments and discusses key challenges, development pathways, and opportunities for ecological monitoring and ...

Intelligent Sky Guardians (InSkyGuard) is introduced as a four‐drone swarm that autonomously detects, tracks, and safely captures rogue drones using a coordinated net system. Computer vision and leader–follower control architecture enable synchronized enclosure, while integrated failsafes enhance system reliability. Validated through closed‐environment

Optimization of Magnetic Milli‐Spinner for Robotic Endovascular Intervention
This work presents the design optimization of a multifunctional magnetic milli‐spinner for high‐speed propulsion and efficient clot debulking. The optimized design achieves an ultrafast swimming velocity of 55 cm/s (≈175 body lengths/s) in saline water, enabling stable upstream swimming against strong physiological flows and establishing magnetic milli‐

Structure of unsteady stably stratified turbulence with mean shear.
The statistics of unsteady turbulence with uniform stratification N (Brunt–Väisälä frequency) and shear α(=dU1/dx3) are analysed over the entire time range (00 and \it Ri>0.25 respectively, oscillatory momentum and positive and negative density fluxes ...
