Lipid nanoparticles (LNPs) are optimized to co‐deliver Cas9‐encoding messenger RNA (mRNA), a single guide RNA (sgRNA) targeting the endogenous cystic fibrosis transmembrane conductance regulator (CFTR) gene, and homologous linear double‐stranded donor DNA (ldsDNA) templates encoding CFTR.

Countergradient Momentum Transport in Clear Convective Atmospheric Boundary Layers
The vertical profiles of the wind speed and direction in atmospheric boundary layers are strongly controlled by turbulence. Most global weather forecast and climate models parameterize the vertical transport of horizontal momentum by turbulent eddies by ...

From a database of 170 pentagonal 2D materials, 4 candidates exhibiting altermagnetic ordering are screened. Furthermore, the spin‐splitting and unconventional boundary states in the pentagonal 2D altermagnetic monolayer MnS2 are investigated. A MnS2‐based altermagnetic tunneling junction is designed and, through ab initio quantum transport simulations,

Some characteristics of bypass transition in a heated boundary layer [PDF]
Experimental measurements of both mean and conditionally sampled characteristics of laminar, transitional and low Reynolds number turbulent boundary layers on a heated flat plate are presented. Measurements were obtained in air over a range of freestream

Substrate Stress Relaxation Regulates Cell‐Mediated Assembly of Extracellular Matrix
Silicone‐based viscoelastic substrates with tunable stress relaxation reveal how matrix mechanics regulates cellular mechanosensing and cell‐mediated matrix remodelling in the stiff regime. High stress relaxation promotes assembly of fibronectin fibril‐like structures, increased nuclear localization of YAP and formation of β1 integrin‐enriched ...

Numerical study of supersonic turbulent flow over small protuberances [PDF]
Supersonic turbulent boundary layers over two-dimensional protuberances are investigated, using the numerical finite difference alternating direction implicit (ADI) method. The turbulence is modeled mathematically.

Shellac, a centuries‐old natural resin, is reimagined as a green material for flexible electronics. When combined with silver nanowires, shellac films deliver transparency, conductivity, and stability against humidity. These results position shellac as a sustainable alternative to synthetic polymers for transparent conductors in next‐generation ...

A Statistical Dynamic Model for the Turbulent Transport of Kinetic Energy in Shear Layers
Dynamic statistical equations for the turbulent fluxes of scalars and momentum in incompressible flows are derived after time wise integration of the equation for the oscillating transported property, decomposing the turbulent fluxes in terms ...

Biomimetic Iridescent Skin: Robust Prototissues Spontaneously Assembled from Photonic Protocells
Uniform nanoparticles are induced to form arrays (photonic crystals) in the cores of biopolymer capsules, endowing these ‘protocells’ with structural color. These protocells are then assembled into large self‐standing objects, i.e., prototissues, with robust mechanical properties as well as iridescent optical properties.

Outline of research on oscillating boundary layers [PDF]
The state of the art in the field of unsteady boundary layers is outlined with emphasis on turbulent boundary layers. The unsteady flows considered are mainly periodic with the external velocity varying around a zero or nonzero mean time value.
