A Rotaxane Turing Machine for Peptides
ChemBioChem, 2013A ringing belt: An artificial molecular machine was invented to build up a programmable peptidic sequence. By molecular movements, the rotaxane-based machine progressively introduces amino acids to form a short peptide chain. The journey towards an artificial ribosome is still quite long, but a conceivable future can be envisaged.

Turing’s Thesis and the Universality of the Turing Machine
2002In this chapter, we investigate Turing’s thesis, which essentially says that the Turing machine (TM) is the most powerful computational device of all. We find evidence to support the thesis by considering a special TM called the Universal TM (UTM).

Publisher Summary This chapter discusses turing machines. The device is, at any particular instant, scanning a square on a linear tape just like the one used by Post-Turing programs. The combination of the current internal state with the symbol on the square currently scanned is then supposed to determine the next action of the device.
