Pathogenicity of Turkey Coronavirus in Turkeys and Chickens
Avian Diseases, 2003We designed this study to compare the replication potential of turkey coronavirus (TCV) and its effect in chickens and turkeys and to study the effect of singleand combined infection of turkey poults with TCV and astrovirus. We studied the pathogenicity of TCV in experimentally inoculated turkey poults and chickens by observing the dinical signs and ...

Avian Diseases, 1985
A case of cutaneous myiasis was reported in a 3.5-month-old turkey. The bird was invaded by a very large number of maggots on its posterior half. The maggots killed the bird and consumed all the flesh within 48 hours. Microscopic examination of the maggots revealed that they belonged to Lucilia sericata (a dipterous fly).

PATHOGENICITY OF TURKEY ASTROVIRUSES IN TURKEY EMBRYOS AND POULTS
Avian Diseases Digest, 2006The pathogenicity of turkey astrovirus 2001 (TAstV2001) and turkey astrovirus 1987 (TAstV1987) in specific-pathogen-free (SPF) turkey embryos and commercial poults was investigated. The virus shedding in poults was monitored using electron microscopy (EM) and reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) during the 14-day experimental period.

Abstract An investigation involving 33 cases of filariasis in the district of Alanya (a Turkish port on the Mediterranean Sea), is reported, 15 per cent. of which showed nocturnal and diurnal periodicity. It is stated that 10 per cent. of the inhabitants of this district are affected by filariasis.
