Yellow in Color Naming and Matching: Lexical Concentration and Local Convergence in Delayed Matching
Color Research &Application, Volume 51, Issue 6, November/December 2026.This study examines the relationship between color naming, representative‐color selection, and hue matching, with particular emphasis on yellow. Across four language samples (396 participants), yellow was named by 96%–100% of participants and showed highly concentrated representative‐color selections.
