RESEARCH ON UZBEK FOLKLORE AND DIALECTS: PRACTICE, METHODOLOGY, AND NEW APPROACHESThis article deals with the issue of proverbs widely used among the Uzbek and Turkic peoples; their formal and semantic similarities are examined. Some proverbs are presented in comparison with each other. The question of how the similarities between them were formed is discussed.

AN ETHNOGRAPHIC STORY: PAUL STIRLING AND TURKISH VILLAGE
2022Paul Stirling is known to be the first person to have done ethnographic field research in Turkey for his seminal work Turkish Village (1965), a classic in Turkish anthropolgy.
