RESEARCH ON UZBEK FOLKLORE AND DIALECTS: PRACTICE, METHODOLOGY, AND NEW APPROACHES. In the Khorezm dialectal zone, the Oghuz, Kipchak dialects of the Uzbek language, Karakalpak, Turkmen, and Kazakh languages perform a communicative function. As a focal point, the Urgench-Khiva dialects exert their influence on neighboring languages and dialects.
