Flowers of Turonian Magnoliidae and their implications
1994Recently discovered fossil flowers of Magnoliidae from Atlantic Coastal Plain deposits of Turonian age are considered in the context of the overall fossil record of magnoliid reproductive remains. The assemblage of fossils from these Turonian localities is diverse and affects our understanding of the history of reproductive structures in the ...

Turonian plants from the southern Negev, Israel
Cretaceous Research, 1997This paper contains the first description of Upper Cretaceous plants from Israel. Plants of this age in the Middle East have previously been reported only from southern Jordan and Lebanon. The Gerofit flora recovered from Israel is stratigraphically useful because it occurs in well-dated Turonian deposits containing ammonites and bivalves.

The Cenomanian and Turonian in NortheasternCentral Asia
Cretaceous Research, 1984Abstract Northeastern Central Asia during the Albian and Early Cenomanianwas one of the peripheral basins of the Central Asian region. The similarity of their freshwater molluscs makes it possible to correlate isolated series in these two regions.

Turonian Pinaceae of the Raritan Formation, New Jersey
Plant Systematics and Evolution, 2001Fossil vegetative and reproductive structures from deposits of the Raritan Formation in New Jersey (Turonian, Upper Cretaceous, ∼90 MYBP) include ferns, gymnosperms, and angiosperms. Gymnosperms collected from this formation have been known since the beginning of the 20th century. Fossil leaves, wood and seed cones have been are identified as belonging

Abstract In the central Iberian Ranges the Cenomanian-Turonian boundary is located within a 3rd-order depositional sequence. Sedimentation began following an Atlantic transgression which flooded the Iberian plate from its northern margin. Facies are deepest, mainly hemipelagic, in the north (marls and nodular limestones with ammonites, echinids and ...

Turonian Normapolles from Portugal and Southern France; correlations
Review of Palaeobotany and Palynology, 1980Abstract With the help of a co-occurrence table, Normapolles from some palynofloras of the Turonian in Portugal and southern France are classed according to stratigraphic distribution. The correlations obtained by this means are more accurately defined through digital processing of the co-occurrences and the paleogeographic consequences which result ...

Sea-level changes around the Cenomanian-Turonian boundary
Cretaceous Research, 1993Abstract The stratigraphical position of widespread hardgrounds in chalk successions mark the time of regressive troughs of sea-level. Using this technique it has been possible to chart the dates of regressive troughs through the Middle Cenomanian to Late Turonian in north-west Europe, and these dates are probably correct for other regions free from ...
