Fossil occurrences in the Upper Cenomanian-Lower Turonian at Ganuza, northern Spain: an approach to Cenomanian/Turonian boundary chronostratigraphy

Cretaceous Research, 1997
An Upper Cenomanian to Lower Turonian section has been sampled in the vicinity of Ganuza, northern Spain. Ammonoids, inoceramids and microfossils including foraminifera and calcareous nannofossils have been studied. We recognize three planktonic foraminiferal biozones: theRotalipora cushmani,Whiteinella archaeocretaceaandHelvetoglobotruncana ...

Upper Cretaceous (Cenomanian-Turonian and Turonian-Coniacian) open marine plattenkalk deposits in NE Mexico

Neues Jahrbuch für Geologie und Paläontologie - Abhandlungen, 2007
In NE Mexico, the Cenomanian-Turonian plattenkalk of Vallecillo (state of Nuevo Leon) and the Turonian-Coniacian plattenkalk of Muzquiz (state of Coahuila) yield abundant fossil vertebrates and invertebrates with an exceptional preservation of soft parts. Inoceramid bivalves are the only benthic organisms in both deposits.
