Abstract In recent times, Tutankhamun’s mummy was CAT-scanned, yielding some definitive results but also some controversial ones. Abstract The history of chariots in Egypt is reviewed, and then the chapter focuses on the six chariots found in Tutankhamun’s tomb. Their construction and use are described, and it is explained why so few chariots have been found, in spite of the fact that there must have been thousands used by the military.
