Co‐Design at the Boundary: Understanding the Dynamics of Open Innovation Between Companies and Communities

open access: yesJournal of Product Innovation Management, Volume 43, Issue 4, Page 641-664, July 2026.
ABSTRACT For over two decades, firms have built platforms and engaged open innovation communities to improve and customize their products through widened participation in the design process. While the benefits of involving those outside a firm as co‐designers have been well described, how co‐design processes unfold over time at the boundary between ...

Differential Cryptanalysis of the Reduced Pointer Authentication Code Function Used in Arm’s FEAT_PACQARMA3 Feature

open access: yesIACR Transactions on Symmetric Cryptology
The Pointer Authentication Code (PAC) feature in the Arm architecture is used to enforce the Code Flow Integrity (CFI) of running programs. It does so by generating a short MAC — called the PAC — of the return address and some additional context ...

Fe Incorporation Pathways in Local Structure‐Activity Relationships of Crystalline and Amorphous Oxygen Evolution Reaction Catalysts

open access: yesAdvanced Energy and Sustainability Research, Volume 7, Issue 6, June 2026.
Using identical metal composition crystalline, crystalline defective, and amorphous oxygen evolution reaction catalysts, it is demonstrated that surface iron chemistry overpowers the bulk structure effects in determining oxygen evolution reaction catalyst activity.

Stimuli‐Responsive Hydrogels for Optical Applications: Mechanisms, Architectures, and Translational Challenges

open access: yesAggregate, Volume 7, Issue 6, June 2026.
The review discusses stimuli‐responsive hydrogels as soft optical materials that translate physical, chemical, and biological cues into refractive‐index, scattering, birefringence, diffraction, and transparency changes. It examines major stimulus classes and photonic architectures for biosensing, waveguiding, adaptive lenses, smart windows, and therapy.

Measuring Calcium Efflux in Isolated Primary Mitochondria

open access: yesCurrent Protocols, Volume 6, Issue 6, June 2026.
Abstract Mitochondrial calcium (mCa2+) homeostasis promotes oxidative metabolism within the physiological range; however, dysregulation can trigger necrotic cell death in diseases such as cardiac ischemia‐reperfusion injury, muscular dystrophy, and neurodegenerative disorders, including Alzheimer's disease.

Secretome and Pathway Analysis of Stress Induced Disc Degeneration In Vitro

open access: yesJOR SPINE, Volume 9, Issue 2, June 2026.
Integrated secretome and phosphoprotein profiling of human nucleus pulposus cells revealed that IL‐1β and TLR2/6 activation induce a shared degenerative program, defined by consistent upregulation of IL‐6, IL‐8, GRO‐α, ICAM‐1, and MMP‐7 and convergence on NF‐κB/AP‐1 signaling.

BEANIE – A 32-bit Cipher for Cryptographic Mitigations Against Software Attacks

open access: yesIACR Transactions on Symmetric Cryptology
In modern CPU architectures, various security features to mitigate software attacks can be found. Examples of such features are logical isolation, memory tagging or shadow stacks. Basing such features on cryptographic isolation instead of logical checks
